Artistic Profile
Born in Rome in 1960, I have always cultivated a deep passion for rock and roll and for the guitar, intended not only as an instrument but as a true expressive language.
I consider myself a faithful interpreter of Jimmy Page’s guitar style, undoubtedly my greatest influence. Entirely self-taught, I began my musical journey in the mid-1970s, inspired by British and American rock blues of the previous decades: Led Zeppelin, Cream, Free, The Rolling Stones, John Mayall, Jeff Beck and, of course, Jimi Hendrix.
My playing style has been shaped almost entirely by Jimmy Page’s technique and by the music of Led Zeppelin, whose artistic path I have passionately explored from its very origins. My strong interest in the Led Zeppelin guitarist also led me to explore the folk sounds and open tunings of Bert Jansch, as well as Celtic music. My favorite kind of rock, however, remains 1950s rock and roll, from Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley to Elvis Presley and Little Richard.
I was a founding member of one of the earliest Led Zeppelin tribute bands, Custard Pie, active for 35 years from 1991 to 2026. With Custard Pie, I carried out extensive live activity, reinterpreting the repertoire of the legendary English band with philological attention, tonal research, and a strong performance-oriented approach.
During the 1990s, I took part in countless rock blues projects and bands in the capital, including unplugged performances. Through numerous jam sessions, I met a wide range of musicians, traveling extensively and performing in many different venues and situations — a list far too long to mention in full. These experiences allowed me to develop solid live performance skills, performing in diverse musical contexts ranging from small clubs to festivals and various live settings.
Current Activity
I am passionate about home recording and work in my personal studio, where I continue to explore sound in all its forms. Between electric and acoustic guitars, open tunings, sound experimentation, and recording techniques, sonic research remains at the core of my musical journey.
